Increasing level of noise pollution has affected people’s life significantly. What factors caused this problem? How to solve this problem?
It is undeniable that the development of global industry, technology and science has considerably raised the quality of life. However, this process also simultaneously leads to numerous problems, especially environmental issues. Every day, billions of people throughout the world have to face up with many unpleasant effects such as noise pollution, which is seriously influencing humans life, particularly the lives of city’s dwellers. In this essay, I intend to explore the possible causes and offer some feasible solutions.
Noise pollution stems from a variety of sources. This may be the results of industrial processes or from the daily life’s activities. In fact, people are exposed to so many potentially harmful noises. When going in the street, they have to endure a large number of unwanted sounds, for example, car alarms, emergency service sirens or unbearable noise from mechanical equipment. Even at nights, while hanging around in the street after a long day of work for a relaxing moment, people also hear excessively loud music from bars. Moreover, as for residents settling down in industrial areas or near the airports, they are even more miserable because of unendurable loud sounds from factories or aircraft when taking off or landing.
Considering the diverse and numerous negative impacts of noise pollution on our lives, immediate steps should be adopted. To lead a healthy life, firstly, people ought to be aware of their activities, asking themselves whether these cause load effects or not. Furthermore, government should take actions to control this issue. They, for example, can levy tough punishment on ones who mean to cause excessive noise and also on bars if they still open so late at night and play very loud music.
In short, to reduce noise pollution to minimum level requires prompt actions and the joint effort of all.
